After the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government in the students’ movement, the people of the A.League are plotting to forcibly intervene in the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB). People looking for these opportunities are falsely labeling the current leadership of the hub as Awami League. So that the government can take the opportunity of change to control the hub and bring back the corruption. In the interests of fair Hajj management, conspirators involved in lying about the hub should be prevented.
On Sunday (August 18) at a meeting of the Hub Ulama Forum held at a hotel in Nayapaltan, the top level leaders of like-minded anti-League parties including BNP, Jamaat and Hefazat said these things. They also said to stay by the hub to stop the troublemakers at this time.
Agency Malik and Senior Vice President of Ulama Forum Maulana Habibullah Muhammad Qutubuddin spoke at the meeting, Advisor to BNP Chairperson Abdus Salam, Joint Secretary General of Hefazat Islam Allama Maulana Mamunul Haque, Jamaat Central Working Council Member and Dhaka Metropolitan South Secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masood, BNP Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, Allama Delawar Hossain Saidi Foundation Chairman Alhaj Shamim Saidi, Hub Senior Vice President Maulana Yakub Sharfati, Secretary General Farooq Ahmad Sardar, Former Vice President Syed Golam Sarwar, Former Vice President Farid Ahmed Majumdar, Bayra’s former cultural secretary Mubarak Ullah Shimul, Malaysia BNP president Engineer Badlur Rahman, agency owner Kamrul Islam Saeed Ansari and others.
Adviser to BNP Chairperson Abdus Salam said, Hub is a service organization. Agency owners serve God’s guests, not businesses. But Awami League has introduced politics everywhere. Why would there be politics in a place like Hub?
He said, there is no politics here, everyone will live together. BNP will stand by your side in any problem. Opportunistic, neophytes must be resisted.
Hefazat’s top leader Allama Maulana Mamunul Haque said, we all know who the leaders of the hub are and what they do. Most of the agency owners are persecuted for doing anti-A.League politics. The agency owners will resist if these oppressed people try to take over the hub by forming an A. League.
He assured the hub leaders and said that after the change of political pot, we have heard that there is an attempt to create instability in the hub. There will be no unrest here after today. Any form of usurpation by defaming the name of any political party will not be tolerated, no one will be allowed to usurp. The autocratic Awami League government turned all institutions into party institutions. Therefore, no Awami League can be kept anywhere.
Jamaat leader Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud said, Hajj agency owners work with the hope of good reward from Allah. They serve Hajids, not business. That is why right wing scholars are also with you. Nation expects us to provide better service in future.
After the fall of the government in the student movement, some agency owners entered the central office of the hub and vandalized the pictures of the hub leaders and tried to occupy the office. After getting the news, the members of the hub kicked them out. Since then the hub has been slandered on social media.
The present committee of the Hub gives a statement against the ongoing complaints of vandalism and lying in the office. At the same time, the members of the organization are united under different banners and are holding protest meetings, gatherings and statements.
In continuation of that, the top level leaders of like-minded parties including BNP, Jamaat, Hefazat have come to support the current leadership of Hub.
