Kolkata: Bollywood actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty is in hospital. The actor was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata on Saturday morning due to chest pain. The actor is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.

Mithun Chakraborty was recently awarded Padma Bhushan. Mithun Chakraborty last acted in the Bengali film Kabuliwala which was released in December 2023. The film was directed by Suman Ghosh.
