VIENNA. A large-scale explosives operation is currently underway in Vienna: Bomb threats have been made to many schools!
8. On Wednesday morning, October, a bomb threat was made to a vocational school in Vienna’s Hütteldorfer Straße. A large emergency team is now on scene and scanning the building. The students were taken to a safe place.

But that’s not all: Other operations are currently ongoing, as police spokesman Mattias Schuster confirmed to the Austrian Press Agency APA. Bombs are also said to be hidden in other schools in the Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus area and in schools in the Hernals area. A threat was also received at the Hans Mandl vocational school in Meidling. Other regions may also be affected.
Police service dogs, the explosives squad and Austria’s National Intelligence Service “Department for the Protection of the Constitution” took action. According to the information received, the threatening calls were made by two different people. Accordingly, these people are probably young people. No terrorist background is believed to exist at this time.
