Round Top-Carmine ISD’s basketball teams are in action this week. On Friday, January 23, RTC hosted fayetteville for JV boys, Varsity girls, and Varsity boys games beginning at 5 p.m. Today, January 27, the RTC Varsity girls and varsity boys teams will play Calvert at Calvert.
The Round Top-carmine Education Foundation met on january 15 for its first quarterly meeting of 2026. The Foundation approved funding for the R.T.C. students’ race entry fee for the national solar car competition. The annual “Small School, Big hearts” fundraising dinner, featuring live and silent auctions and a family dance party, will be held at Round Top Rifle Assoc. hall on February 7. Meal tickets are $20 and include a two-meat BBQ plate catered by the hall from 5-6 p.m., with to-go plates also available. The silent auction will launch online on January 31, allowing bidding throughout the week leading up to the event. More information can be found at rtceducationfoundation.org.
“Monday Night Burgers” at the Round Top Rifle Association is a beloved community tradition. Volunteers serve burgers, hot dogs, and chicken sandwiches with fries or onion rings from 5:30-8 p.m. on the first, second, and third Mondays of each month.

St.John’s Lutheran Church, part of the Shared Lutheran ministry of Fayette County, is led by Jen Kindsvatter. Worship with Holy Communion is held every Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
Round Top Christian Fellowship, led by Pastor Matthew Diehl, meets at 8:45 a.m. for Bible Study, followed by a 10 a.m. service at 440 E.Mill Street in Round Top.

Approximately 25-30 men from Round Top and surrounding areas meet each Wednesday from 7-8 a.m. at the Round Top Coffee Shop on 111 W. Wantke St. to study the book of Galatians. Men of all denominations are welcome.
