jpnn.comPALEMBANG – The joint SAR team succeeded in finding Aldo Afrilio (13), a boy who drowned while swimming in the Borang River, Sako Baru Village, Sako Palembang District, Wednesday (1/5) afternoon.

“The victim named Aldo has been found dead,” said Head of the Palembang Basarnas Office, Raymond Konstantin.

Aldo was found by diving because the victim was still at the bottom of the river about 30 meters from the initial location of the incident.

Next, the victim was evacuated and taken to the funeral home for the funeral process.

“With the discovery of the victim, the SAR operation was declared complete and closed. All SAR elements involved in the search process were returned to their respective units,” said Raymond.

In previous reports, the incident began on Wednesday (1/5) at around 10.00 WIB.

The victim and his six friends initially played on the outskirts of Sungai Borang. However, suddenly the victim swam alone to the middle of the river.

Meanwhile, his friends were still playing by the river.
