New Delhi: The BJP leader’s hate speech against the Prophet has sparked protests on Twitter. ‘Boycott Qatar Airways’ has been trending on Twitter after Qatar condemned the BJP leader’s statement. Boycott was used by protesters as ‘Bycott’. Following this, retweets abounded that those who did not even know how to spell ‘boycott’ were being boycotted.
‘I am a proud Hindu. So one person tweeted that he would no longer travel on Qatar Airways. Travel on Qatar Airways is essentially expensive. So boycott a liter of petrol first, and then another on a journey on Qatar Airways.
At the same time, some point out that not even an Indian city is in the top 15 routes of Qatar Airways and Kochi is in the top 20.
