Ahmedabad: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Gujarat yesterday on a two-day visit. He visited the Sabarmati Ashram of Mahatma Gandhi there. He is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson arrived in Gujarat yesterday, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Arriving at the Ahmedabad airport on a two-day visit, he was received at the airport by Governor Acharya Devvirath, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and senior officials.

Boris Johnson later visited the JCB factory in Halol, Panchmahal District. At that time, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Bhupendra Patel. Subsequently, he participated in an event held at the Gujarat University of Biotechnology in Gandhinagar. He later visited the famous Akshardham Temple in the city.

Meeting with the Prime Minister today

Boris Johnson left for Delhi last night after completing his tour of Gujarat. There he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The two leaders are expected to hold talks on strengthening bilateral ties, a free trade agreement (FDA), strengthening cooperation on Indo-Pacific issues and strengthening security-related ties.
