Misha Zilberman Celebrates (Amit Shissel, Israel Olympic Committee)

An impressive achievement for badminton player Misha Zilberman, who won a bronze medal last night (Friday) at the European Championships held in Madrid. For him it is the first medal at the European Championships and one of the greatest achievements of his career.

Zilberman lost 21:10 and 21:11 in the semi-finals of the European Championship to Victor Excelsen, the Danish Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020, so the Israeli was left with a bronze medal at the end of the game and climbed the podium.

The 33-year-old Zilberman has competed in the Olympics three times in the past, with his record achievement so far being a bronze medal win at the Minsk European Games in 2019. He now has his first medal at the European Championships as well.
