Sullivan Management Signs Rising Boxing Prospect Brooklyn Barwick

New York, NY – Sullivan Management has added a dynamic new talent to its roster, signing junior featherweight Brooklyn “The Big Deal” Barwick to an exclusive managerial contract. The 26-year-old fighter is poised to make a significant impact in the boxing world, bringing a unique blend of athleticism, social media savvy, and unwavering determination to the sport.

From California Influencer Scene to the New York Boxing World

Barwick’s journey to professional boxing is unconventional. Born in Newport Beach and raised in Laguna Beach, California, she initially pursued a career as a social media influencer. However, frustration with the lack of regulatory oversight in the California influencer-boxing scene prompted a dramatic shift. “I decided to turn pro and moved to New York City after I had a breakup because I needed a change. I don’t ever want to go back,” Barwick explained.

Her name, a playful nod to her parents’ differing preferences – her mother favored “Brooke” after Brooke Shields, while her father opted for “Brooklyn” for its toughness – reflects her resilient spirit. She officially entered the professional boxing arena on March 1, 2025, without any prior amateur experience.

Undefeated Record and Untapped Potential

Currently boasting a 4-0 professional record with four first-round stoppages, Barwick’s power is undeniable. However, her record doesn’t fully reflect her skill. Two additional knockout victories from fights in South America are currently awaiting official recognition from Boxrec.com, boxing’s official recordkeeper.

Despite her relatively short stature – standing at 4’ 11” – Barwick compensates with relentless energy and a non-stop attack strategy. She describes her boxing style as that of a “pitbull,” a workaholic who overwhelms opponents. Since relocating to New York City, she has focused on refining her technique, improving her head movement, punching from angles, and enhancing her footwork.

A Unique Voice in Boxing

Barwick is not only a rising star in the ring but also a prominent social media brand influencer, bringing a modern approach to the sport. She also holds a unique position as the lone female Jewish professional boxer in the United States, and one of only two in the world. Her father is Jewish, and she intends to convert to Orthodox Judaism.

“We have limited representation in boxing,” Barwick noted. “I want to become the biggest thing in Jewish culture; inducted into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and fill a boxing event for my people. And I want to make my name known to Jewish kids who someday will look up to me.”

Training and Mentorship in the Big Apple

Barwick trains at the New York City Cops and Kids gym in Brooklyn, under the guidance of trainer Jimmy Sosa. She has quickly formed a strong bond with fellow Sullivan Management fighter Nisa Rodriguez, a New York City Police Officer and former New York Golden Gloves star. Rodriguez played a pivotal role in connecting Barwick with Keith Sullivan.

“Nisa suggested I sign with Keith Sullivan, who is an amazing manager,” Barwick said. “I spoke with Keith and signed with him. He’s very smart and he’s so well connected in boxing. A lot of people have said so many good things about him to me. I look forward to developing a closer relationship.”

According to Sullivan, “Brooklyn is hungry, disciplined and fearless—everything I look for in an athlete.” He expressed excitement about guiding her career and highlighted the mentorship she receives from Rodriguez.

Sullivan Management’s Expanding Roster

Sullivan, a former New York State Athletic Commission Deputy Commissioner, represents a growing stable of promising fighters. In addition to Barwick and Rodriguez, his clients include undefeated Brooklyn heavyweight prospect Pryce Taylor (9-0, 6 KOs), 3-time, 2-division World Champion Miyo Yoshida (18-5), lightweight Fei Faiva (6-0-1, 4 KOs), IBF Welterweight World title challenger Paddy “The Real Deal” Donovan (14-2, 11 KOs), and middleweight Jim Donovan (2-0, 1 KO), whom he co-manages with coach and ex-world champion Andy Lee.

Barwick is confident in her future, stating, “I’m going to showcase my bad-ass self in 2026.” With a dedicated team and a clear vision, Brooklyn “The Big Deal” Barwick is poised to become a force to be reckoned with in the world of women’s boxing.
