BSNL President BK Purwar participated in the event on the 13th on behalf of the All India Federation of Engineers and Telecommunications Officers. He said, “The federal government is giving BNNL a turning point.
That is, the central government has taken a policy decision to merge PPNL with BSNL. I discussed this with the Minister of Telecommunications and officials for an hour.
6.80 lakh km
BSNL currently has 6.80 lakh km of fiberglass cable tracks. When PPNL joins, an additional 5.67 lakh km of fiberglass cable will be available to BSNL. Cable facility will be available for 1.85 lakh gram panchayats.
Extra funds in the budget
Therefore, everyone must work together for the development of BSNL. The Central Government has given all kinds of permission to BSNL to operate independently. Rs 45,000 crore has been allocated in the budget. Earlier, only Rs 24,000 crore was allocated. Therefore, the company should take advantage of this opportunity to improve.
BSNL is in the final stages of testing 4G services. The federal government expects it to be completed and operational by August 15. But I hope the BSNL 4G service will be operational by May or June.
4G service
The next step in the development of the telecommunications sector is to provide a wide range of services in fiber cable to the home. Accordingly, 1 lakh mobile base stations will be set up to provide various services to the customers on fiber cable. If we miss this opportunity, there is no other alternative. The federal government acts as a do-or-die. Therefore, BSNL should perform better. Should become the largest asset of the state. We have a responsibility for that.
Thus said Purwar
