The students of the vocational school center in Wangen were able to generate almost 8,000.00 euros at their traditional November market this year and are thus supporting social projects. At the 27th edition of this school event, those involved in school life once again managed to attract many parents, acquaintances, former students and interested parties to the market. With self-designed Advent wreaths and pre-Christmas decorative items, as well as many culinary delights, a donation total of 7,954.19 euros was raised this year. A special highlight of this year’s event was the performance of the brothers Jonathan and Johannes Heidel from Amtzell, who thrilled the audience with two trial shows.

The idea of the November market, thinking economically, implementing your own ideas, using skills in a targeted manner, talking to others and working together for a good cause, has been the focus for a long time and was once again implemented very well this year.

The donation amount generated will be divided as follows:

Part of the donation, namely 5,000.00 euros, will benefit the Valentina Foundation from Wangen. The aim of the foundation is to accompany seriously ill children on their journey through life and to make their lives a little easier. It is important to the November market organizing team that the money is used for a specific purpose this year and that its intended use is clear. Foundation board member Kurt Peter explained in a personal conversation that this year avatars will be purchased that will enable seriously ill children who are unable to attend school to “be present” in school lessons.

The other part of the donation goes to the “Zeltschule eV” association. The association’s mission is to provide refugees in crisis areas such as Syria and Lebanon with a better future through education. The money will be used to build schools in these areas in order to provide education and the prospect of a better life.
