Beauty Queen Accuses Oppression, Threatens to Reveal Evidence
On her personal page, Bui Ly Thien Huong, a prominent Vietnamese beauty queen, recently made a startling announcement. She claimed that she has evidence of unfair treatment and intimidation directed towards her during various beauty contests. If her demands for clarification and fairness are not met, she vows to release this evidence publicly.
“Thien Huong will publish all evidence of oppressing candidates for unfounded and unverified reasons, if Thien Huong is not clarified and Thien Huong’s fairness and efforts are returned,” she wrote. “Thien Huong earnestly hopes that everyone will support the weak like Thien Huong.”
Some netizens immediately questioned the contest Thien Huong was referring to, specifically Miss Grand Vietnam 2024. She had placed in the top 15 of this beauty pageant despite receiving widespread audience approval.
Before making her announcement, Thien Huong expressed her anger over a series of false rumors surrounding her participation in the contest. She condemned those who deliberately spread misinformation to damage her reputation and honor, stating that such actions will face appropriate consequences.
Thien Huong also shared her emotional response to her performance in the final of Miss Grand Vietnam 2024. While she acknowledges that the ranking is not her primary concern, she expressed a desire to have received a title to fulfill the expectations of her audience.
Throughout her career, Thien Huong has participated in several other beauty contests, including Miss Universe Vietnam 2017, Miss Supranational Vietnam 2018, Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, and Miss Grand Vietnam 2022.
