Burkina: 78th UN General Assembly, Council of Ministers and the use of social networks on the newspaper menu

Ouagadougou, September 21, 2023 (AIB) – Burkina Faso dailies this Thursday deal with decisions taken in the Council of Ministers, training in the use of social networks for the benefit of the Union of Media Auditors of Burkina (UAMB ) organized by the CSC, and the 78th UN AG.

Sidwaya informs that on the sidelines of the work of the 78th General Assembly (GA) of the United Nations which is being held in New York, in the United States, the Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs, Olivia Rouamba, had working sessions with personalities from international organizations, on September 19, 2023, with a view to strengthening multilateral cooperation with them for the benefit of Burkina Faso.

The newspaper informs that as part of the UN General Assembly session which is held each year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad spoke with three personalities from international institutions , on September 19, 2023, in New York.

From another angle, the dean of private dailies, L’Observateur Paalga, headlines on its front page: “Use of social networks: the CSC equips listeners”.

The newspaper indicates that as part of the popularization of reference texts developed for media professionals and all Burkinabe citizens, the Higher Communication Council (CSC) organized training for the benefit of Union of Media Auditors of Burkina (UAMB).

The daily specifies that this training focused on ten tips for responsible behavior on social networks and direct broadcasts in the media.

On the same subject and with the CSC’s Communications and Public Relations Department as a source, the Bobolese daily L’Express du Faso draws: “Popularization of the ‘Ten tips for responsible behavior on social networks and in broadcasts direct expression”: The CSC equips radio listeners”.

He adds that the objective of the training was to sensitize the Union of Media Listeners of Burkina (UAMB) to the proper use of social networks and responsible behavior during interventions in direct expression broadcasts.

In another section, Observer Paalga displays on its headline: “Council of Ministers: Aimé Nongkouni, new CEO of SONABHY”.

Still reporting on the council of ministers, the public newspaper Sidwaya shows on its front page: “CCI-BF: The government approves the reform of the texts”.

According to a press release from the Communications Directorate of the Presidency of Faso received by the newspaper, under the Ministry of Industrial Development, Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises, the council adopted a report relating to the modification of the decree relating to status of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF).
