INTERVIEW – For the boss of the public relations agency Edelman, the “pandemic” of disinformation must encourage companies to be more vigilant.

Richard Edelman has been the Chairman and CEO of Edelman, a global leader in independent public relations, for twenty years. Founded by his father seven decades ago, the American group has just produced its Trust 2024 Barometer, which looks at the trust of citizens of twenty-eight countries in institutions.

LE FIGARO. – How do you explain the proliferation of disinformation that is spreading across the world today?

RICHARD EDELMAN. – In recent years, we have witnessed a dispersion of authority across the world, which contributes to fueling disinformation.
