Café Libertà, lyrical and choreographic journey around coffee

Originally from Ethiopia, coffee was all the rage throughout Europe in the 18th century. The French conductor Jérôme Correas and the Italian choreographer Ambra Senatore make it the main ingredient of a cocktail of baroque pieces and modern choreography. With Cafe Libertythey reveal to what extent the history of this stimulating drink is linked to that of the mores of the time – with in particular a feminist Bach cantata before its time.
