Chittagong Hill Tracts Minister of State Kujendra Lal Tripura said that our thoughts and views may not be the same. But everyone has one goal, the country is ours. For the development of the country, for the interest of the country, for the welfare of the people of this country, we all have to work unitedly.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs on Saturday (April 13), the state minister said these things during the chief guest’s speech at the concluding day of the 12-day Baisabi Mela at the end of the road in Khagrachari New Zealand area on Friday night.
The state minister said that Baisabi is a social, cultural and religious event. On the occasion of the festival, this arrangement of Baisabi Mela has strengthened the bond of people-to-people contact, amity and harmony more than ever. People have been organizing various events to preserve the culture since time immemorial. All good deeds should be elegantly celebrated by all. All communities of Bangladesh have their own culture and tradition. My language, my culture is my own identity. Bad culture should not be contained here in any way.
The State Minister said, I think, through the celebration of Baisabi or Baisu, the sense of brotherhood, amity and sincerity will develop among the people of Bangladesh. The bond of unity between all language speakers and all cultures will be strengthened. Bangladesh is moving forward and will go further. The Prime Minister is working tirelessly for the welfare of the people of the country. The Prime Minister wants the backward people of Chittagong Hill Tracts to unite with the mainstream of Bangladesh’s development and build a smart Bangladesh as a partner in development. We want to work for the welfare of the country by being united to fulfill the goal of the hill dwellers.
State Minister Kujendra Lal said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resolved the fratricidal conflict in the hill region on December 2, 1997 with a single effort. If a new fratricidal conflict is created, it will be very bad for our future. Let us pledge in 1431 Bangla Sun, every person of Bangladesh is bound by the bonds of peace, order and harmony and dedicate themselves to the welfare of the country so that we can build a developed and smart Bangladesh under the Prime Minister.
It should be noted that the fair was organized on the occasion of Baisabi from last April 1. At the Baisabi fair, the youth of the hills were enjoying the stalls of various hill products till 10 pm on April 12. Through this fair, the people of the hill region have their own culture, art and tradition. Later, the State Minister enjoyed a cultural program organized by the Mela Celebration Committee.
