A highly anticipated film continuation of the acclaimed french series “Ten Percent” is moving forward, with the script now finalized and key cast members, including Camille Cottin, expressing enthusiasm for reprising their roles. The project, years in the making since the series finale in November 2020, is currently slated for release in 2026.
The news emerged following appearances by Cottin and fellow actor Romain Duris on the French talk show “C to you” on France 5, where Cottin discussed her feelings about revisiting her character, Andréa.
A Familiar Face Returns
Cottin described reading the script as feeling like “finding a very good friend,” adding, “It is still very cool to be in Andréa’s sneakers because he is really a very pleasant character to interpret.” The actress emphasized the importance of the ensemble cast, noting that the dynamic between the characters is central to the show’s appeal. She also hinted at the inclusion of guest stars, responding with a smile when asked about their potential appearances despite Andréa’s departure from the agency setting.
Script Completion Marks a Turning point
Fanny Herrero, the creator and screenwriter of “Ten Percent,” confirmed the script’s completion in early September during an interview with Deadline. “I can just say that writing is over. So now, yes, it’s on the way,” she stated, expressing her joy at returning to the world of the Parisian artistic agency. Herrero had stepped away from the series after its third season to pursue other projects, but clearly felt a strong pull to revisit the beloved characters.
Bringing the cast back together has presented a significant challenge. According to dominique Besnehard, a co-producer of the series, the actors’ increasingly successful careers have made scheduling difficult.”The problem now is that they are all taken. They are around the world,” Besnehard noted in 2022.
Since the series concluded, actors like Cottin, Laure Calamy, Thibault de Montalembert, Grégory Montel, Liliane Rovère, Nicolas Maury, and Florence Foresti have seen their profiles rise, securing roles in numerous high-profile projects. Besnehard also expressed concern about ensuring the participation of all key actors, stating, “all the actors… But if, there, someone is missing, I will take it very badly. They owe us a lot.”
The completion of the script and the confirmed enthusiasm of key cast members signal a significant step forward for the “ten Percent” film, offering fans a promising glimpse into the future of this celebrated series.
