This is the first time that Canada is going to play in a big event like T20 World Cup. In the meantime, the ICC partner country has announced the World Cup squad. The young country has formed a good team with experienced players in the twenty over tournament.

All-rounder Saad bin Zafar will lead the country in the World Cup starting next month. The experienced team also includes left-arm spinner Aaron Johnson and pacer Kalim Sana. Only four players in the squad are under the age of 30.

There was no place for Nikhil Dutt or Srimanth Vijayaratna as some new young players were brought into the team. Tajinder Singh is the reserve player.

Canada will play in ‘A’ group in the World Cup. Along with them are co-hosts USA, Ireland, India and Pakistan in the same group. Canada will begin the season by taking on the United States in their first match in Dallas on June 1.

After the second match against Ireland on June 7, Canada will play a match against the two giants of Asia, Pakistan and India. The matches will be held on June 11 and 15 respectively.
