“I was a little surprised that every cognitive measure that showed a significant effect also showed better performance in cannabis users,” said Dr. Guha. The study’s findings suggest that cannabis may not have the same detrimental effects on the aging brain as it does on the developing brain. However, researchers emphasize that these results do not imply a universal benefit from cannabis use.
