A “difficult” childhood in which he does not remember “moments of happiness”: “I have lived the nightmare of not having family references. At school the elders insult you. They are brutal things and strong insults to my mother,” he acknowledges. A situation that led him to have bad company and unhealthy habits: “My first contact with substances was when I was ten years old.” Problems with alcohol and drugs that have accompanied him since then, as he has acknowledged on more than one occasion.
These problems led him to enter a rehabilitation center for more than six months and to psychological therapy for eight years: “I go to a center every week, I have therapy with the psychologist and they see through tests that I don’t consume anything, not even hashish,” he confessed in And now Sonsoles last July.
Mar Flores’ son now reflects on what could have happened in his life to end up in that situation: “I’ve probably come to blame my parents for everything that’s happened to me.“he says, remembering the media and judicial war that his parents waged for years with accusations of even mistreatment.
Convicted of fraud
Carlo Costancia Jr. was sentenced last June to 21 months in prison and a fine of five months with a daily installment of six euros, with subsidiary personal liability in case of non-payment and one day of deprivation of liberty for every two installments not paid for a crime of aggravated fraud through a business of buying and selling cars.
This matter marked a before and after in the relationship between mother and son: the model asked Mar Flores to stand up for him on television, then she collaborated on the Sonsoles Ónega program on Antena 3. Although Mar always defended her innocence of his son, this would not have been enough for him: “I am a mother hen, I adore my children, I love them, if something happens to them I give them kisses and hug them, we are all very well, whatever they say, they always say, we are very well (..) I am here, I support my family, and I worry about things what happens in the family. “We are all calm and well,” Mar Flores said then about the matter.
