Casablanca: 5,000 police officers mobilized to secure the Wydad-Raja derby

Casablanca – The Casablanca police headquarters mobilized a total of 5,000 elements from different security formations, law enforcement units, public forces and technical and logistical units to secure the local derby, pitting each other against each other, *Sunday evening at Mohammed V stadium, Wydad and Raja, in the title of the semi-final of the Throne Cup.

The prefecture also mobilized around 200 security vehicles, including 4×4 cars, utility cars and motorcycles, as well as vehicles equipped with on-board cameras.

On this occasion, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, inquired about the various security measures put in place by the Casablanca Police Prefecture to ensure the controlled management of this meeting.

Accompanied by senior officials from the DGSN, Mr. Hammouchi followed a detailed presentation by the Casablanca security wali on the protocol for securing the stands and the various stadium facilities. He also reviewed the action plans put in place to ensure traffic flow, road safety and allow supporters to flock to the stadium, as well as to ensure integrated security coverage for all stadiums. areas of the urban center of Casablanca.
