On Thursday (September 5), Bangladesh Nationalist Chhatra Dal Office Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam confirmed this information to RisingBD.

He said that on September 2, the newly expelled convener of the Kalabagan Thana Chhatra Dal, Obaidul Islam Saikat, along with 15-20 people, attacked the business establishment called Chandpur Store next to Panthpath Signal. They looted 60 thousand cash from there and physically bribed some people including the owner of the establishment.

Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal expelled him on the basis of clear evidence of his involvement in the crime and on the instructions of Tariq Rahman, the organizational guardian of the Chhatra Dal, Shyamal Malum, the senior joint general secretary of the central parliament of the organization, filed a complaint on the official pad of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal with the officer-in-charge of Kalabagan police station.
