Cass Family Clinic Expands Healthcare Services with New Niles Dental Center

Offering a comprehensive suite of dental services and prioritizing accessibility, Cass Family Clinic has opened a new dental facility within its existing Niles location. The expansion, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, September 26, 2025, signifies a commitment to integrated healthcare and improved patient care for the local community.

The new 4,500-square-foot Niles Dental department, situated in the west wing of the clinic at 1951 Oak St., represents a significant investment in the region’s healthcare infrastructure. The facility relocated from a previous location just two miles away on Grant Street, allowing for a more streamlined and unified patient experience.

A Full Spectrum of Dental Care

Cass Family Clinic’s Niles Dental boasts 12 state-of-the-art treatment rooms and provides a complete range of dental services. Patients can access everything from routine hygiene exams, prophy treatments, and debridement, to more complex procedures including fillings, extractions, dentures, crowns, and root canals. Specialized services such as sealants, scale and root planning, space maintainers, and night guards are also available.

“We’re proud to expand our Niles clinic footprint, now offering a fully-integrated and unified healthcare experience under one roof,” stated a senior official at Cass Family Clinic. “Bringing a dental center into our Niles clinic helps streamline our services to better care for local residents and patients.”

Prioritizing Accessibility and Specialized Care

Beyond a comprehensive service offering, the new dental department distinguishes itself through a dedication to patient accessibility. A key feature is a dedicated special needs treatment room, equipped with wheelchair-accessible equipment and a state-of-the-art lift system.

“This state-of-the-art lift system will enable patients to receive care directly from their wheelchair, improving both comfort and accessibility,” explained Dr. Madison Mick, dental director at Cass Family Clinic’s Niles Dental. “We are excited to offer this additional level of care for our patients.”

Expanding the Healthcare Workforce and Educational Opportunities

The expansion has resulted in the addition of 27 staff members to the dental center. Furthermore, Cass Family Clinic is partnering with the University of Michigan to offer hands-on training opportunities for dental students through a residency rotation program, extending to both the Niles and Cassopolis locations. This collaboration will provide valuable clinical experience for the next generation of dental professionals.

The new dental space was designed by Barker Nestor Architecture + Design of Chicago, with construction managed by Astrong Construction of Niles. The project underscores a commitment to both community health and economic development within the region.
