Thiruvananthapuram – CBI raided seven cities including Thiruvananthapuram. The inspection will be conducted in Delhi, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, Ambala, Madurai, Chennai and Chandigarh. The inspection continues in institutions that sent young people to Russian war zones. It is found that about 35 people have been sent abroad.

Cases were filed against various visa consultancy firms and agents. They are accused of sending young people to the Russia-Ukraine war zone with the promise of better jobs. 50 lakhs, documents, laptop and mobile have been seized in the search so far. Suspected suspects are being interrogated at various places. It was confirmed yesterday that Muhammad Asfan (30), a native of Hyderabad, who was trapped in Russia and forced to fight against Ukraine, was killed. After this, CBI is conducting raids at various places.

The family had met Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, demanding that Asfan be brought back from Russia. Then the MP came to know about the death when he contacted the Indian Embassy in Moscow. Earlier, the Ministry of External Affairs of India had informed that many Indians were trapped on the Russian front and negotiations are ongoing to bring them back. People who came to Russia hoping for high-paying jobs were forced to fight against Ukraine.
