CCM reveals the composition of the juries of the 23rd edition of the Tangier National Film Festival

Festival⁤ Jury Announced with Award Categories

According to a CCM press release, the upcoming festival will feature four official competitions: the fiction feature film competition, the⁣ short film competition, the⁤ documentary feature film competition, and ⁤the “School Film” competition.

Fiction Feature Film Competition:

The esteemed jury will⁣ be chaired by⁤ Moroccan producer‍ Souad ⁢Lamriki, joined‍ by Djiboutian founder Souad Houssein, journalist and film critic Maria Daif, actress Zahia Zahiri, academic and film critic Hammadi Gueroum, director and screenwriter Mohcine Besri, and actor Malik ‍Akhmiss.

Short Film Competition:

The jury ⁢will be⁤ led by producer Rita El Quessar and includes screenwriter and director Fatima Boubakdy, actress ⁣Fatima Ezzahra El Jaouhari, actor and director Mohamed Achaour, and director and producer Munir Abbar.

Documentary Feature ⁤Film Competition:

Director Ali Essafi will chair the ⁤jury, which also comprises journalist, director and screenwriter Soumia Derhourhi, and Senegalese journalist and film critic Aboubacar Demba Cissokho.

“School Film” Competition:

Director Nour Eddine Lakhmari will‌ preside over the jury, which includes producer and‌ director Zhour Fassi Fihri and actress ⁤Sonia Okacha.

Award Categories:

Across the four competitions, 20 ⁤awards will be bestowed. The feature-length‌ fiction film competition boasts awards such as the Grand Prize, Production Prize, ​Special Jury Prize, First‌ Work⁤ Prize, Director Prize, Screenplay Prize, Leading roles awards, Image Prize, Sound Prize, Editing Prize, and‌ Original Music Prize.

The short film competition offers a Grand Prize, Special Jury Prize, and Screenplay Prize, ‌while the‍ feature-length ⁢documentary competition awards ⁤the Grand Prize for Documentary and ‌a Special Jury Prize. the “School Films” ‍Competition concludes with the awarding ​of the Grand Prix des écoles.
