The Secretariat of Comprehensive Risk Management and Civil Protection (SGIRPC) has issued a orange alert for high temperatures expected for this Tuesday, May 7 in twelve municipalities of Mexico City (CDMX).
The government agency reported that Temperatures are expected to range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsiusthroughout the day, affecting a large part of the capital city.
The orange alert covers districts such as Cuauhtémoc, Gustavo A. Madero, Iztapalapa and others, while a yellow alert is activated in Cuajimalpa, Magdalena Contreras, Milpa Alta and Tlalpan.
Given these conditions, Civil Protection recommends the use of sunscreen, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun and refraining from intense physical activities outdoors.as well as fluid consumption.
