Paulo Raimundo regrets that a “forced” bipolarization between PS and PSD has devalued a path that responded to the problems of the Azoreans.

This Sunday, the CDU won 1.58% of the votes in the Azores regional electionsleaving 84 votes behind being able to elect a deputy.

Paulo Raimundo lamented the result that “fell short” what the party needed to “influence the correlation of forces” in the regional Assembly.

“CDU was the target of silencing, discrimination and forced bipolarization between PS and PSD, agitating Chega and calling the risk of ungovernability an instrument to devalue the path and political options that responded to the problems of the Azoreans”, he said.

The coalition won just 1,823 votes, below even the blank votesand 84 fewer than the PAN, which managed to elect a deputy.
