Russian House in Dhaka celebrated the International Human Space Flight Day. On this occasion, painting competition was organized by Russian House in Dhaka.
On Friday (April 4), a drawing competition titled ‘Yuri Gagarin: The First Man in Space’ was held in Dhaka by Russian House in collaboration with Bangladesh Astronomical Association (BAA).
Russian House Director Pavel Dvoichenkov inaugurated the drawing competition. In the speech, he talked about Yuri Gagarin’s childhood, professional life and his historic space flight, as well as the history of the Russian space program, scientific activities and their impact on global progress in this field.
Students from various institutions of Dhaka including Vikarunnisa Noon School and College, Government Laboratory High School, Scholastica School participated in the drawing competition.
Executive members of Bangladesh Astronomical Association, Bangladesh National Science and Technology Museum, Dhaka and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novotheater and teachers of various educational institutions were also present on the occasion.
After the competition, the director of the Russian House in Dhaka distributed souvenirs and certificates to the winners.
