The central reporting system of Covid cases in Austria is about to collapse. The Ministry of Health instructed the federal states and laboratories on Thursday to only report positive test results in the epidemiological register (EMS) from Friday. This emerges from an official letter that is available to the STANDARD. In response to a STANDARD request, the Ministry of Health confirmed: The measure must be taken because the operation of the system is acutely endangered due to overload.
