Hazardous Conditions Persist
The snow from Saturday left behind more than just picturesque landscapes; it created treacherous conditions for commuters. Bitterly cold air and subzero wind chills are forecast to continue through Monday morning, exacerbating the risk. According to weather reports, winds will also contribute to blowing snow, further reducing visibility and potentially refreezing precipitation on roadways.
Warming Trend on the Horizon
While Monday will remain challenging, a warming trend is anticipated for the central Ohio area. Temperatures are expected to rise into the 20s by the afternoon, with partly to mostly cloudy skies.
Looking ahead, temperatures will continue to climb. The forecast predicts highs in the 30s on Tuesday and low 40s on Wednesday. A brief respite into the low 50s is expected on Thursday before a line of showers arrives, bringing temperatures back down into the 30s on Friday. Conditions should improve again to start the weekend, with temperatures returning to the 40s.
