CGT and FO renew the strike at Esso-ExxonMobil

The social movement is renewed while two majority trade union organizations the CFDT and the CFE-CGC have signed the agreement.

The CGT and FO renewed on Tuesday the strike which affects the two French refineries of the Esso-ExxonMobil group, despite the signing of a majority agreement on wages by other unions, which they for their part rejected, indicated Tuesday the CGT.

«The movement was renewed this morning at 6 a.m., because it does not correspond to the demands of the striking employees who are asking for purchasing power“, told AFP Christophe Aubert, CGT central union representative, according to whom the improvement of the proposal formulated by the management consists essentially of a bonus.

Esso proposed a 6.5% increase and a value-sharing bonus of €3,000 excluding participation and incentive and announced that “two majority trade unions, the CFE-CGC and the CFDT, are signatories to the salary agreement proposed by the management».
