Finding the Right Mood

But this time, I wanted to try a different expression to match the atmosphere of the shooting location.”

She continued, “So at this time, I wondered if she also makes this kind of expression during her public security work? I created the facial expressions while imagining Power-chan’s daily life.”

Regarding the pose, Jun aimed for a sense of naturalness. “I was imagining a scene from Power-chan’s casual daily life, so I left her head and hands relaxed and let gravity do the work for her, without arranging her wig to make her look natural and natural. I always tend to strain when posing, so it was surprisingly tough!”

The photoshoot took place at a cosplay event, presenting a unique challenge. “The passageway where the photo was taken was busy with people, including the general public, so I took the photo at a moment when no one was passing by,” Jun recounted. “I think it took just a few tens of seconds to move to the shooting point where people stopped, pose, press the shutter, and retreat, and I think it took less than a minute in total! I am really grateful to the photographer who took such beautiful pictures in such a location and with such an excellent angle of view!”

Jun often approaches cosplay with a thought-provoking question: “What if this character lived in the same everyday life as us?” This time,Power’s portrayal perfectly embodied that concept. “Thank you to Odarin-san for taking the photo!” she added.
