Dubai: After the victory against Pakistan, Sri Lankan player Chamika Karunaratne trolled the team. Earlier, Karunaratne’s victory celebration after beating Bangladesh went viral. On that day Karunaratne was celebrated by playing Naagin dance. Earlier, Bangladesh had once beaten Sri Lanka by playing Naagin dance. Mushfiqur Rahim was leading that time. After losing the toss and batting at the Dubai International Stadium, Pakistan were bowled out for 121 in 19.1 overs. Vanindu Hazaranka took three wickets to destroy Pakistan. In reply, Sri Lanka overcame the target with the loss of five wickets in 17 overs. Opener Tenthum Nissanka, who remained unbeaten on 55 runs, led Lanka to victory.
Pakistan fought back in Sri Lanka’s batting but Nissanka’s performance helped. Kushal Mendis (0), Dhanushka Gunathilaka (0) and Dhananjaya D’Silva (9) all made quick returns. With this, Lanka were 29 for three. Among the latter, Bhanuka Rajapaksa (24) and Dasun Shanaka (21) put up a good performance to bring Lanka closer to victory.
Although both were dismissed, Nissanka guided Lanka to victory with Vanindu Hazaranka (10 not out in 3 balls) with him. Nissanka’s innings included five fours and a six.
