There was a dangerous crowd of several hundred people in front of a nightclub on Friday night. The police were able to defuse the chaos.
The months of waiting are finally over. Since midnight on March 5th, the curfew has been history, and the night restaurant can also open again without restriction. Many companies therefore started punctually at midnight to herald the opening weekend properly.

In Oberndorf near Salzburg, however, an extremely dangerous situation developed. The small town is located directly on the border with Germany and is connected to the city of Laufen and the state of Bavaria by a bridge. Many Germans apparently wanted to pay a visit to the discos in Austria.
Hundreds waited to be opened
The police were finally called in front of such a discotheque in Oberndorf because there were said to have been several bodily injuries. Arrived on site, there was no evidence of such, but one came across several hundred guests. They stayed in front of the disco, although it hadn’t even opened yet.
“Due to the sometimes inconsiderate behavior of people, there was a fire in the area in front of the entrance dangerous crowd and some people lost consciousness as a result“, the police reported in a broadcast. Friends and passers-by were able to rescue them from the danger area and bring them to safety.
One injured person had to be treated by the Red Cross. The situation was finally calmed down by the deployment of around ten police officers. Most of the people waiting were directed to a nearby parking lot.
Local operator opened early
The bar operator also tried to defuse this unforeseeable situation and opened the bar early. “Obviously, a particularly large number of guests from the neighboring Bavarian area wanted to use the new opening hours to visit a discotheque,” the police continue to speculate.
The situation was only defused around 9:30 p.m. Although only about half of those waiting could be admitted to the restaurant, many had already realized that there could not be room for so many guests in the restaurant and had left again.
