Mini solar systems are spreading in Germany at an increasing pace – not least because politicians are removing hurdles and promoting their purchase.

In the meantime, really cheap balcony power plants can be found on sales platforms such as Ebay, Otto, Amazon and Kaufland and at discounters. Lidl has put the crown on it all: since May 17, 2023, the discounter has been offering a mini photovoltaic set for less than 200 euros. But the set has been criticized.
