Pudukottai: The district collector flagged off the awareness marathon held in Pudukottai to create awareness among the public about the chess olympiad competition to begin on July 28.
An awareness marathon was held today (July 15) in Pudukottai to create awareness among the public about the chess olympiad competition to be started on July 28 in Chennai. Collector Kavita Ramu flagged off the marathon at the district sports ground.
100 male and female students from Pudukottai sports hostel participated in this run. The procession started at the District Sports Ground and reached the District Sports Ground via Collectorate Roundabout, Municipal Office, Anna Statue, Old Bus Stand, New Bus Stand, Government Women’s College.
Also, awareness bows were pasted on school and college vehicles. The Collector visited the chess competition in which school and college students participated in the district sports ground. He stopped at the selfie point and took a selfie.
District Revenue Officer Ms. Selvi, District Transport Officer Jaishankar, Kotakshiar(P) Karunakaran, District Sports Officer Kumaran and others participated in this event.
