Chess Olympiad- Norwegian Magnus Carlsen wins

Chess Olympiad is being held for the second day today at a resort in Mamallapuram next to Chennai.

In this series for the 2nd round which started around 3 o’clock, a total of 6 teams entered the field on behalf of India. Tamil Nadu player Pragnananda, who was resting yesterday, entered the field today. Tamil Nadu player Pragnananda won the India Open B category.

Karthikeyan Murali from Tamilnadu won by defeating the Mexican player while players from different countries were playing in the tournament.

Tamil Nadu player Nandita won the India 3rd team which played against the Singapore team.

In this case, Norwegian player and world champion Magnus Carlsen has won the Chess Olympiad series. World champion Magnus Carlsen defeated Uruguayan Meyer Jorge in the 2nd round.

Also, an 8-year-old player from Palestine, Randa Sader, has won this series. She is the youngest player to participate in the 44th Chess Olympiad.
