Indian player Pragnananda has won the 2nd round of the Chess Olympiad.

The 44th International Chess Olympiad is being held at Mamallapuram next to Chennai. In the first day’s match, the Indian team won all the 6 matches played by 4-0.

India B team faced Estonia in the 2nd round match which started today. Tamil Nadu players Pragnananda, Gukesh, Atiphan and Runak Sadwani played in the Indian B team.

In this case, Pragnananda won by defeating the Estonian player Kirill Suka. It is noteworthy that Pragnananda and Indian players Athiban and Gukesh have also won the second round match. So far 3 out of 6 Indian teams have won.
