A senior official emphasized the paramount importance of safety, stating, “We’ve had other fires on Christmas Eve and community organizations get them gifts and things like that but the most important thing is that no one is hurt. We can’t replace a human life.”
The Red Cross swiftly mobilized to provide assistance to those impacted by the disaster. Late Wednesday night, a spokesperson announced support for 13 individuals, representing five families. This support encompasses not only immediate comfort and emotional care but also financial assistance, access to vital health services, and connections to local resources to aid in the long-term recovery process. “Our Disaster Action Team volunteers responded quickly to meet the immediate needs of the five affected families,” the spokesperson wrote.
