Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s response to the Union budget in Bengaluru: “Disappointing and potentially ruinous”

by time news

Bangalore,

Speaking to reporters yesterday in Bengaluru, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said:

Union budget is disappointing. Nothing is said about unemployment, drought, farmers’ problems. The country’s total debt has increased to Rs.190 lakh crore. He did not say this either. It is an interim budget. The budget amount is Rs.47 lakh 65 thousand 758 crore. It has increased by 5.8 percent compared to last year. Out of which Rs.16 lakh 85 thousand 494 crores are raised through loans.

There is a lot of concealment from people in this budget. It says nothing about the economic development of the country. Not talking about unemployment, price rise. This is a budget that will lead the country to ruin. All the produce of the farmers should be brought under minimum source price. Taxes on private companies have been reduced. The rest of the burden falls on the poor and middle class. An anti-poor, anti-women, anti-Dalit budget. This budget is very disappointing.

This is what he said.
