Child benefit A21: Payment coming soon

by time news

It’s almost time to pay A21 child benefit. On Friday, March 29, the amount corresponding to each beneficiary will be paid.

Who will see money in their accounts? Those entitled to child benefit had applied by 11 March. Those who did not have time to apply by this date will not be paid the first installment but will not lose it. They will receive it retroactively when they have applied and a new payment is due.

As usual, the payment actually starts from the banks from the afternoon of the previous day, which means that many beneficiaries will see the amounts they are entitled to from 28/3. Payment of the allowance will be completed on 3/29. The official announcement about the payment of the allowance by OPECA is expected to be made in the next 24 hours.

It is noted that the electronic platform for child benefit applications is closed to make the payment of the 1st installment of 2024. Immediately after the payment it is expected to reopen to accept the applications of potential beneficiaries again, who will be paid retroactively the first installment.

The A21 application is submitted once a year from March of each year until January 15 of the following year, through the A21 platform from the website of OPECA or IDIKA SA using the taxisnet codes. The beneficiary, in case of any change in his family status or incorrect entry of any other element thereof, must amend the application within one month and only in the fields where there are changes.

Compulsory attendance of minor children in compulsory education

It is noted that for the second year, in order for parents to receive the child benefit, the child or children of each family must go to school. In order to cross-reference electronically the attendance of minor children in compulsory education, you should enter the following in the tab with the child’s personal information, and in particular in the “Child’s Attendance Information” field:

  • a. the details of the School Unit, Class and Registration Number of the student, if the child is in compulsory education.
  • b. the year of completion of compulsory education (High School), if the child has completed compulsory education.

If all the details of the student are crossed, the application can proceed normally. If they do not cross, a relevant marking is displayed.

It is reminded that the amounts that will be given to the beneficiaries are calculated based on the family income and will be the same as last year.
