Beijing: China has sent an army unit to the Russian-led military exercise. India is also participating in the Vostok 2022 military exercise that will take place a week from today. The Moscow government said that the joint exercise has nothing to do with global conflicts and is being conducted in compliance with all international military etiquette.
The training takes place in the eastern region of Russia. The training is taking place in the Pacific, the Sea of Japan and the land area of Russia. India, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Nicaragua and Belarus are gathering for joint training on Russian soil. Half a million signatories from all countries are participating. All the three military branches will repeatedly practice what they have to do in geographical and other contingencies.
India participates in land and air exercises but is excluded from naval exercises in the Pacific as it is part of the Quad alliance. At the same time, China’s move to try to create a conflict against Taiwan is decisive. The US and Japan are cautiously watching the planned naval exercises in the Sea of Japan with Russia.
The joint military exercise will come under a lot of scrutiny in the context of the fact that the United States, including the United Nations Security Council, has reiterated that Russia and China are a major global threat. In 2018, Russia-China joint military exercise was conducted.
