China has revealed methodologies to promote reproductive health among young people, as various reproductive health service campaigns have been launched over the past years, on the occasion of World Population Day, as the most populous country in the world.
Over the past decade, the China Family Planning Association has provided health education services, in addition to reproductive health awareness raising, training and counseling, to more than 10,000 primary and secondary schools and 700 colleges, according to Xinhua.
Hong Ping, an official with the association, said these efforts are aimed at providing young people with knowledge about reproductive health, promoting their positive and responsible behavior, and protecting them from problems including unwanted pregnancy and induced abortion.
