China’s highly contagious covid variant also in India; Three cases are reported

New Delhi: Reports have confirmed that the covid variant that is spreading in China has also been confirmed in India. Various national media are reporting quoting official sources that three cases of Omicron variant BF7 have been reported in India. Malayalam news channels are also reporting the same.

The first BF7 case was reported at the Biotechnology Research Center in Gujarat. This was in October. Three cases have been reported so far. According to the report, two of them are in Gujarat and one is in Odisha.

BF7 is a highly proliferative variant. Reports are coming out that the reason for the rapid spread of the disease is in Beijing and other places in China.

What makes this strain dangerous is that BF7 is capable of infecting those who have been infected with Covid-19 and those who have received vaccinations, and can quickly enter the body.

Currently, apart from China, the variant has been confirmed in the US, Britain, Belgium, Germany, France and Denmark.

At the same time, the report also states that in a high-level meeting led by the Union Health Minister, there has been no significant increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in India.

But in the meeting, it has been decided to keep strict surveillance in case of new variants spreading. The meeting also examined whether India is ready to face the situation in case of an increase in the number of Covid cases.

The health minister himself has shared about the meeting on Twitter. In view of the increasing number of covid cases in some countries, the situation in the country was examined by meeting with experts in the field of health. The covid is still not completely gone.

All have been advised to be cautious and increase vigilance. We are ready to face any situation,’ says Mansukh Mandvya’s post.

After the minister’s tweet, Dr., who is in charge of health department of NITI Aayog. Vinod Kumar Paul has suggested a return to the old habit of wearing masks. He added that the covid vaccine should be taken as soon as possible.

“If it’s a busy place, whether it’s indoors or outdoors, you should wear a mask. Elderly people and people with other diseases should be more careful about this. So far only 28% people have received the vaccine in the country. Everyone else, especially the elderly, should get vaccinated as soon as possible,’ said Dr. Vinod Kumar Paul said.
