Refusal of international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence would be a historical mistake.
As Day.Az reports with reference to TASS, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said this at a press conference on the sidelines of the 2nd session of the National People’s Congress of the 14th convocation.
“Attempting to create closed communities in the field of artificial intelligence will be a new historical mistake,” he said. “It will not only block the scientific and technological development of various countries, but also destroy the integrity of the international production and supply chain, and weaken humanity’s ability to cope with risks and problems.”
According to him, China has a positive and open attitude towards cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence with other countries and has already established dialogue mechanisms with some of them. “We stand for both development and security,” Wang Yi said. The global community should jointly promote global governance of artificial intelligence, he noted.
