Beijing: China is going to launch an ambitious Moon mission to reveal the secrets of the Moon. The objective of this mission is to bring samples from the mysterious dark area of the Moon. China will launch this mission in early May, for which the lunar probe Chang’e-6 and the rocket carrying it Long March-5 have been taken to the Wenchang Space Launch Center in southern China. China’s government media organization Global Times has given information about this. According to the report, Chang’e-6 and Long March-5 Y8 have been successfully assembled after being brought to the launch center in January and March respectively. Its testing and initial work has been completed. Chang’e-6 sent by China will be the world’s first mission that will collect material from the dark side of the Moon and return it to Earth for further study. Global Times quoted Wu Weiren, chief designer of the Chinese lunar mission, as saying that Chang’e-6 will return with about 2000 grams of sample from the moon. Before this, Chang’e-5 mission had come to Earth with 1731 grams of samples. However, these samples were not from the far dark side of the Moon.

China will send humans to the moon by 2030

Earlier, to make the Chang’e mission successful, China had launched Qiqiao-2 relay communication satellite on March 20 to establish communication between the far side of the Moon and the Earth. China declared mission success after Qiqiao-2 successfully completed in-orbit communication tests about 20 days later. The Chang’e-6 mission is part of the fourth phase of China’s lunar exploration program, which will carry out planetary exploration missions. China has planned to send humans to the moon, which is expected to be completed before 2030.

China will build a base on the moon

China has planned to build a base on the moon. Under this, International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) will be built in collaboration with Russia. This mission, to be built in two phases, will be deployed in parts on the lunar surface, lunar orbit and Earth. The first phase of the ILRS construction project will see a base station built at the Moon’s south pole by 2035, which will be equipped with facilities to conduct regular scientific experiments. The station will be expanded in the second phase, which is targeted to be completed by 2045. There are plans to establish a space station orbiting the Moon.
