The scientific journal Science Advances reports that scientists from China have found water in a lunar soil sample. It was mined and delivered to Earth by the Chang’e-5 station.

The researchers clarify that they found 120 ppm of water in the sample. They attribute its origin to the solar wind.

Chang’e-5 became the first unmanned probe to deliver lunar soil samples to Earth. The device returned home in early December.
