U.S. fast-casual chain Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its first Southeast Asian restaurant at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore in 2027. This marks another milestone in the brand’s regional expansion following recent restaurant launches in South Korea.
The upcoming Singapore location will sit on Level 2 of the retail complex at unit #02-200, bringing the chain’s signature made-to-order menu to a high-traffic travel hub, Channelnewsasia reports. Hungry travelers and local diners can expect a customisable lineup featuring burritos, burrito bowls, tacos, quesadillas, and salads prepared fresh throughout the day.
Chipotle Partners With Sangmidang Holdings For Singapore Debut
Operations across Singapore are managed through S&C Restaurants Holdings. This joint venture connects Chipotle Mexican Grill with Big Bite Company, an affiliate of South Korean enterprise Sangmidang Holdings. Local diners may already recognize the parent group behind other prominent F&B imports, as Sangmidang Holdings operates Paris Baguette and Shake Shack outlets in Singapore.

Changelog: Timeline Adjustments From Seoul to Changi Airport
The 2027 launch window at Jewel Changi Airport represents a change from earlier company projections. When Chipotle first outlined its Asia strategy in September 2025, leadership projected that both South Korea and Singapore would receive their initial restaurants during 2026. By July 2026, corporate updates pushed the Singapore debut to early next year, before the company finalized a 2027 timeline alongside its autumn expansion announcements in Seoul.
That initial regional footprint took root on September 2, 2026, when the chain launched its first Asian storefront at 423 Gangnam-daero in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Customer volume remained high following the opening, prompting the swift addition of a second South Korean branch on October 28 at Sweet Park inside the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam.
