Community rallies to Fund Cancer Research in Memory of Alessia Gadotti

A wave of support has propelled a fundraising initiative in Trento, Italy, past expectations, generating over €8,000 for vital cancer research. The “Ciao Ale” campaign, born from a deeply personal loss, is channeling grief into hope and providing crucial funding for a post-doctoral research scholarship.

Transforming Pain into Progress

the initiative began as a tribute to Alessia Gadotti,and has quickly blossomed into a powerful demonstration of community solidarity. Organizers report a total of €1,800 was raised during an in-person event, bolstered by an impressive €4,480 from an online campaign. An additional €1,466 came from the “Hi Ale” project, supported by five dedicated health professionals. Beyond these specific efforts, countless individual donations were made directly to the AIRC (Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca sul Cancro) account dedicated to the Alessia Gadotti scholarship within the Veneto Trentino Alto Adige region.

The funds raised are ensuring the continuation of this vital research. according to Gadotti,the success of the campaign allows for a continued commitment to the AIRC Foundation and the potential launch of further calls for tenders dedicated to the Alessia Gadotti scholarship. She expressed profound gratitude to all those who contributed, emphasizing the project’s journey “from the pain of a loss, but which wants to look beyond, with more hope in their hearts for all women who encounter the disease of breast cancer.”
