The president of the National Charity Lottery (LNB) and of the Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Bets (Cibelae), Javier Milián recently participated in a seminar on the subject in which there were representatives from the United Kingdom, the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Italy and Canada, among others.
Some of the points developed are level 2 certification, work commissions, tools, new trends, digitization and online games, evolution and advantages, as well as the future of Responsible Gaming.
“We are all going to contribute and learn about a central issue in the development of our business, which is Responsible Gaming,” said Milián, who recalled that, at Cibelae, one of the main objectives is to promote economic development.
This translates into social welfare in the countries where there is representation of this regional organization through the associated local lotteries. “For this reason, it is vital and important to have modern, innovative mechanisms and attached to the new trends in the sector, aimed at the promotion, adoption and application of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) around safe and responsible gaming” in Latin America ” .
This leads to preventing gambling problems derived from compulsive gambling, which affects populations economically, psychologically, family and socially; hence the need to be an agent of change, focusing all efforts on the management and implementation of CSR principles.
Milián appealed to the responsibility of providing information and tools that allow occasional or regular players to make conscious and responsible decisions in their gaming behavior. The seminar had the support of the World Lottery Association (WLA) and it is seen as a great opportunity for motivation, inspiration and advice, to support the different lotteries, creating value and positive social impact.
